October 1, my four month volunteer job at Prince William Forest Park ended and I took the train north to Providence, Rhode Island. Then I bicycled five miles to Pawtucket and spent the night.

The Capital building in Providence is just opposite the train station. It was an easy ride to Pawtucket, where there was this attractive statute.The seven-hour train trip from Woodbridge, Virginia, to Providence, Rhode Island, was very pleasant and interesting.
