Bicycling from Buffalo to Niagara Falls, New York.

The ride was along the Niagara River, flat, through some riverside parks and small neighborhoods. The Canadian Border was still closed, but I did take the Maid of the Mist boat ride to Horseshoe Falls. About 30 miles, and the next day I cycled to a motel near the Buffalo Airport and flew to Seattle in the morning. Had a lovely visit with my daughter and her family before taking the train home to Eugene, Oregon.

Cycling the Erie Canal Trail.

Cycling from Albany, New York to Buffalo! Through Utica, Syracuse. Rochester and many villages. About 375 miles. Fantastic, flat trail along the Erie Canal, mostly good weather, helpful people to deal with my flat tire. Enjoy a few of my photos along the way. Many thanks to the friendly people who helped with my flat tire! Cycling is fun, but it is always the people who make the best experience.

One highlight was spending a night at the beautiful Oneida Community Mansion House. From 1848 to 1880, it was a Christian commune, in their eyes. Yes, they produced the Oneida flatware.
