Celebrating my 70th birthday, bicycling in Oregon

Since it is so nice this summer, I rode my bicycle right out my front door, with a load of camping gear and extra clothes in panniers, north on the Willamette Scenic Bikeway, to the Tualatin Scenic Bikeway, to Astoria, Oregon. Then I rode south along the Oregon Coast to Florence. From there I cycled home to Eugene. About 532 miles of cycling in 12 days (yes, I am bragging). Enjoy my sketchbook diary of my solo bicycle tour celebrating my 70th birthday!

Amanda and Colin were just the best! Cycling creates community!
Wahoo! I made it home!
